Like Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra yesterday, Thakoon Panichgul opened his show with a series of looks in White.. and sheer. What I love most in the Thakoon Spring 2011 collection was the sporty mesh mixed with floral romantic vibes. Another "thing" very Thakoon style was the mixed of the boudoir-ish gauzy gowns and sheer wallpaper organza tank dresses with tailored pieces, some in mattress-ticking stripes or denim which give a very modern cool look to the most classic tailoring.
Thus our prediction about the trends in this fashion week in New York continue to check: White and pale shade colors, sheer all over and tailoring with a contemporary re-creation. Floral prints with romantic and feminine touch appear often in NYFW runways too.
