Today in Paris, Dries Van Noten showed his Spring 2011 collection in a very dandy show, simple and eminently wearable aesthetic.
Today’s Dries Van Noten spring/summer 2011 collection provided a lovely mixture of basic denim and cotton pieces – spanning from pale blue to azure, tangerine and pink.
The mood was romantic and the look a great mix of the feminine/masculine aesthetic that Van Noten does so well. So we had flared jeans, little cotton blazers and flower prints working their way on to tunic tops, palazzo pants worn with thick-heeled suede sandals and embellishment – which came by way of peach sequin sweaters and a pair of flower sequin shorts, worn with a chiffon black poncho top.
Utilitarian natural glamor which mixed simple dyed cottons in sorbet colours with precious embellished pieces. I loved it!
