Felipe Oliveira Baptista left Portugal for over 10 years, studied at Kingston University in England, and worked at MaxMara in Italy and to the reputable houses Christophe Lemaire and Cerruti in France. With this experience, he ventured into the art of haute couture. In 2002 he received from Karl Lagerfeld the prize of the International Festival of Hyères and the next year, has been awarded grants from the Association Nationale pour le Développement des Arts de la Mode (one of the most important prizes for young designers) and Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy.

His first woman collection for Lacoste will be in stores in spring / summer 2012.
