SPFW: OSKLEN WINTER 2011

"Fenix" reborn is the name of Winter 2011 collection that Osklen presented in S. Paulo Fashion Week. Oskar Metsavaht was inspired by the fire that destroyed part of the Osklen's factory and the label's acquis, in February 2010, as a starting point for his collection. Before the show it was planned aerial images of the place on fire and the charred pieces of fabric on the scene. Sometimes you need to get from zero to get the dynamics of renewal and that's what Oskar did. After 10 years of experimentation, in which the brand gave us one of the most original and bold lines of Brazilian fashion, he turned to the classic style reinterpreted and renovated Osklen. The result of this reflection on the trajectory of the brand, were highly-sophisticated but uncomplicated designs, from classical pieces such as men's t-shirts, knitwear and cashmere trench coats reinterpreted by the unique style of Osklen. I loved the bold colors like mustard, royal blue, bright red of kashmirs produced in Italy and dyed in Brazil. The hyper-collars and the play of proportions were so Osklen, minimalist and comfortable. A final note for the "tailoring"very well played with the mix of sport vibes.

“Fenix” renascida é  o nome da colecção Inverno 2011 da Osklen, apresentada  na S. Paulo Fashion Week. Isto porque Oskar Metsavaht tornou o incêndio que destruiu parte da fábrica e do acervo da Osklen em Fevereiro de 2010 como ponto de partida para a sua colecção. Antes do desfile foram projectadas imagens aéreas do local no dia do incendio e pedaços de tecido chamuscados entraram em cena. Por vezes é preciso partir do zero para chegar à dinâmica da renovação e foi isso que Oskar fez. Depois de 10 anos de experimentação, em que a marca nos deu uma das mais originais e arrojadas linhas da moda brasileira, voltou-se aos clássicos renovados e reinterpretados ao estilo Osklen. O resultado desta reflexão sobre a trajectória da marca,  foram modelos supersofisticados mas descomplicados, partindo de peças clássicas masculinas como t-shirts, malhas de cachemira e trench-coats reinterpretadas ao bom estilo da Osklen. Adorei as cores fortes como mostarda, azul royal, vermelho vivo das cachemiras produzidas na Itália e tingidas no Brasil. As hiper-golas e o jogo das proporções são bem ao estilo Osklen, minimalista e confortável. Uma nota final para o “tailoring” muito bem jogado com o mix desportivo.
