OS BURGUESES/ THE BOURGEOIS

Really beautiful this editorial of Os Burgueses latest collection, a Portuguese brand that is a innovative project in the Portuguese fashion scene of the designers Pedro Eleutério and Mia Lourenço. They called themselves an "Urban Opera" and I think it is a great example of fashion and art symbiosis.

Fantástico este editorial com a última colecção d'Os Burgueses, um inovador projecto na cena da moda portuguesa dos designers Pedro Eleutério e Mia Lourenço, a que eles chamam "Urban Ópera". Um excelente exemplo da simbiose entre moda e arte.

Under the concept an urban opera, they develop collections and special garments for clients. Every season is developed an act for the opera they’re working on. Through the collections, the viewers are invited to follow the libretto and become part of the story where the closet is the wardrobe, and the floor of the city is the stage. Involved in nonlinear scripts lies the starting point for the collections where different arts are key elements. Everything in life can be an inspiration.

Parallel to the collections they develop wardrobes for plays and artists. Being part of the ART in PARK association, the designers are in constant dialogue with an intrinsic speech with Contemporary Art.

Sob o conceito uma ópera urbana, desenvolvem colecções sazonais e peças especiais para clientes. A cada estação é desenvolvido um acto da ópera em que trabalham e através das colecções os espectadores são convidados a acompanhar o rumo dos enredos e, porque não, a fazerem parte integrante... o guarda-fatos é o camarim e o chão da cidade o palco. Envolvidos em guiões pouco lineares, estes são o ponto de partida para a criação onde as diferentes formas de arte são elementos chave."Tudo na vida pode ser um ponto de inspiração.”

Em paralelo às colecções desenvolvem guarda-roupas para teatro e artistas. Inseridos na Associação ART in PARK, os designers contam com um diálogo constante e intrínseco à arte actual que não deixa de se reflectir no seu trabalho.
