Let me preface this by saying that I absolutely despise how MLB’s All Star Game determines home field in the World Series. After league commissioner Bud Selig ended the 2002 All Star Game in a tie after 11 innings, he decided from then on, the league that wins the mid-summer classic will be the league that hosts Game 1 of the fall classic. I hate it. What should be a relaxed exhibition for the fans is now a competitive game that “counts” as MLB likes to advertise. That is what Selig wanted, and that is what he got. Too bad it is a stupid concept.
