Game of Thrones, and a Question
Just watched the first episode, and all I can say is WOW. AWESOME. You heard me? AWESOME. I'm saying that this Game of Thrones is not the Battlestar Galactica of fantasy series: it's WAY BETTER. Really, words can't just express how GREAT the show is! And I didn't even like the books! It's kind of a dream becoming incredibly true: after eons of Bad Shit someone finally managed to make an outstanding fantasy series! I'm not going to spoil anything, but please do yourself a favour and check it the fuck out. I'm not kidding, I'm having a NERDGASM and you shall have one too.
Ok so, back to real life! Tonight I have the first game of the new campaign scheduled, and I'm pretty excited because of this. I've prepared little to nothing, since I guess most of the time will be spent in character creation and the like, you know. Still the players may want to go and see what's going on around Castle Bélial, and hopefully they'll also find the entry to the crypts, so they probably will have to draw their swords and smash some motherfucking skeleton down. YAY! I'm gonna let you know.
I also have a question. I have some money I would like to spend on game supplies, but I swore I wouldn't be buying game supplies for the whole year (well, except miniatures and dice, of course). Thus I decided to invest in some fiction, like novels, movies, and comics. So here comes the question: I'd like to take a look at the actual Conan comics, and see if they're still good as they used to be when I was 12, and I'd also like to see if I can find some Red Sonja comics. The question is: are there some good Sword & Sorcery comics out there I should consider reading? I prefer non-manga (although I liked Bastard!! and Berserk very much), and possibly episodic comics, or at least something I can just read without having to buy the 200 previous issues. Thank you!
